Heeelp!!! Dog ate entire bag of snausages!!!!!!!
I didn't let her do it, I know I'm responsible for her and I accept all responsibility. Before I took the test for my drivers license, I gave my dog a Snausage. She ate it and I put the backpack with her treats in it against the bed. I zip locked the Snausages and zipped the backpack. I did, I remember it clearly because I kidded with myself about how my dog would eat the whole bag if she could, but unluckily for her she can't open a backpack. After my test, my grandmother and myself went to my house to pick up something, and she said I could bring Harley while we ran some errands. She had an accident in the house (bowel movement) and I cleaned it up, blaming myself for feeding her in the morning so close to her walk. I harnessed her and took her to the car. She sat on my lap and was her usual energetic self. She acted normal, nothing out of the ordinary. The only thing was, her stomach was a bit big. I worried about it, but not too much because she was so cheery. We drove around a bit and I ran into the store while my grandmother and dog waited in the (air conditioned) car. When I came home, I took her on a walk. She urinated and we came back home. I freaked out when I found the bag of Snausages ripped open along with her Dentastix. They were devoured save for two Dentastix. Both the front and back pockets of the backpack were zipped open and the Snausage bag was closed with a tear on the bottom of the bag. Help!! What do I do, do I take her to the vet? Who do I call?! Is she going to die? What do I do? Please help,.

She's going to be fine. She may not want to eat 'real' food for a few days, but things will be normal after a while.
There's a TINY (and I mean very, very little) chance that this could have some adverse effects. Watch for lethargy, fever, and repetitious vomiting. If she vomits once, don't panic - her esophagus is full. If she vomits more than once, take notice - 3 or 4, you may want to call the vet. If there's diarrhea, that too will pass (no pun intended) - just make sure she's drinking if there's diarrhea.

Thank you so much, I'm actually terrified she'll end up with bloat. It's been a good two to three hours since she consumed the bag of Snausages, and no vomiting or diarrhea. Since getting home, she seems like she's trying to relax, just laying at my feet.

Bloat is VERY rare - it happens when the stomach tears or erodes away from the connective tissue and is allowed to turn or flip. Bloat is very fast onset, but is a secondary disease after something causes the connective tissues to degrade. If your dog is generally healthy otherwise, then you shouldn't be concerned with bloat. These tissues and the stomach are very elastic in nature - your dog would get very sick and vomit before her body allowed something serious to happen like a stomach rupture. But don't let her do this again, of course.

I learned my lesson, her treats are forever going to be beyond her reach. This opened my eyes and made me realize that dogs can be unpredictable and determined. I am so grateful for the helpful information.

She might poop a lot, but there is really nothing wrong with it. Of course it's not a healthy diet and iw ouldn't reccomend it on a daily basis. I have to keep all of our peanut butter in the top cabinet because Buster will eat it, jar and all.

I was going to reply thinking it was a typing error :-) No idea what a "Snausage" is but I have experience of dogs eating sausages. My old girl who seems far to stiff and staid to reach the counter tops has taken the meat I have left out to defrost more times than I care to remember. The only sign is an empty plastic wrapper and the sausages (or beef) has vanished without a trace. As the others have said, she may be full and perhaps have some digestive issues for 24/48 hours but nothing dangerous.

Snausages are these pig and a blanket type snacks for dogs.
So right about the pooping a lot. We went on our walk earlier today than usual and walked for a bit longer. She pooped loose stool a few times. I thought she was squatting to pee but then noticed she was stopping to poop. She's drinking a lot more water than usual. I expected her to have an accident while I was sleeping so I lined the floors with paper. She didn't, but she woke me up in the morning for the walk. Thank you everyone.

Snausages are dog treats.
Since they do contain a high amount of sodium, your dog might drink more. There are places on this website where you can get ricipes for making your own healthier dog treats. My dogs recommend the peanut butter treats.

The increased water intake to compensate is very good. That's a sign that your dog is healthy. Sounds like your dog is in good hands and just got a little naughty on her own

He's so special, he needs a helmet with his name on it. And yes, he does lick the windows.
