Default Dog Anal Glands?

Hi,

okay I DO NOT watch my dog as they poop, so for those people who would ask why am I watching my dog while they poop, I don't. The only reason I looked toward her while she was doing her business was because her leash ended up getting pooped on because she walked over it and her bottom happened to be facing me. While she was pooping I noticed that there were two red lumps on both sides of her anus. I know that dogs have anal glands that get expressed when they poop, but are they supposed to be red? She doesn't display any other signs that her glands are giving her problems. She poops regularly, doesn't drag her butt, doesn't seem to give her bottom any special attention really. You can't even see the red lumps unless she is pooping, and not to sound gross, but her anus looks normal. Is there any cause for concern?
