Default Gross!!!

I was sitting down with my dog on my lap about an hour ago listening to music. I was petting her on her head and then smelled something fishy. I thought it was her breath, but she then got up and there were two wet spots on my lap and on the cover I had over me. They smelled terrible. There was a concentration of brownish greyish substance in the center of each spot. It seemed to have just happened, she didn't show any sign that she had leaked. My dog laid down on the opposite side of the couch and when I showed my boyfriend what had happened, she jumped off and hid on the side. She looked scared, and now I'm worried. I took her outside to see if she needed to use the restroom, but she didn't go. She seems normal, what could be wrong? I want to take her to the vet first thing in the morning, or do I have time to make an appointment?

Sounds like anal glands. Just take her to the vet and have her checked out. May need to be addressed.

So I went to the vet this morning. Harley had her glands squeezed out and there was some stuff in one of them that the vet said was giving her problems. They said she should feel the difference.
