This is a good article on the kind of rawhides that are safe. After reading this article, I am much fussier about this important issue. Nothing but made in the USA to start with----Hey, read the article, I'm sure you will find out things you had no idea of!

Hey guys, give me some feedback as to if you can get into this whole article. I can't tell because I am a subscriber so it does let me in but I 'fished' the 2nd address off a browser selection by putting in words--safe rawhide chews/The Whole Dog Journal--so thinking that should work for you--Hope so! I wonder also if you could get many other articles on whatever you want to know about by putting in your browser the subject you have in mind and then adding /The Whole Dog Journal. I can see the whole article ... i dont do rawhides, mainly bc my dog is a picky little thing and she throws them up. But i still like to read the articles u post. Thanks!

I buy extra large rawhides by the bulk, seriously. We order 100 bones at a time and have them shipped to our dooor.

I hadn't been giving rawhide much and quit altogether when my Corky would soften them up so much and then try to swallow them whole or in big pieces and choke on them! I thought this article would be good for all to know about and to pay attention to the cons of them. I may try them again----Getting a new dog has me checking out all kinds of things again!

And thanks for letting me know if the article was coming through. I take it you are not a subscriber to The Whole Dog Journal---If you are, then you would prob. get the article too. But if not a subscriber--Hooray as the article should be available to nonsubscribers alike.
