Default Hemangiosarcoma Update for Tucker

I haven't posted any futher information on Tucker's battle with hemangio in awhile - almost have felt I might jinx him if I say he is still doing "fine". He is actually in about the same condition as several months ago (diagnosed on 3/8 and given 1 month to live). We still feed high protein/fat homecooked with EVO dry and canned and supplements of egg and cottage cheese. In additon, he gets numerous other nutritional and herbal supplements. I did have a conversation recently with a canine nutritionist who felt the oncologist should have suggested removal of just the spleen initially instead of the combined liver surgery as well - we likely would have had that done but we feel extremely lucky that Tucker has done as well as he has and is still able to enjoy his life.

Whew! I was afraid to read your post at 1st but so glad to hear Tucker is still doing well! You must be doing for him exactly right and he must be a real fighter! I bet his good disposition helps him a lot too. Hey, He is a great dog--but you already knew that! Give him a big hug for me.
