GROSS gross gross!!! Panicking !!!
Eww my dog was sniffing something and I thought it was a pile of leaves. I let her sniff because she had to pee and I thought she was going to bend down any moment to relieve herself.Well, I figured out it was taking her a while and I should check out what she was checking out. Turns out it was THE SKIN OF AN ANIMAL!!!! Just this big piece of skin with fur that had been ripped off of something. I pulled her away and was totally grossed out. That's not the worst part.
We were walking back to our apartments when this guy came up to meet her with his dog. Harley and his dog sniffed, and then it was time to depart. Harley pulled on her harness a bit hard trying to follow them (the guy bent down to pet her and gave her the one thing she can never get enough of, attention, and she wanted more). She pulled too hard and coughed a bit, I tried to soothe her and rub her chest and back. I looked her in the eyes and talked to her to help her feel better, well, she let out this slobbery cough right in my face!! After sniffing the dead animal! I wasn't sure if she did more than sniff, but I am terrified of catching some scary disease
My dogs in the past used to kill cats, rats, and other animals that wandered into the backyard, and as an ignorant kid I didn't any mind to them licking me, but this is now and I am feeling a nervous wreck wondering if everything is alright. First I worried about my dog, now I'm worried about myself.

That is gross. I are glad my dogs have no interest in dead animals or live ones for that matter. I would be so upset if my dogs killed a cat.

My dog loves sniffing things, usually I catch her before she gets too close to the gross stuff, but not this time. It was just the skin of something, well part of it I was like WHHAAAT is that?! And she not only coughed in my face, but opened her mouth real wide and gave me a huge, ack!!!
You are blessed that your doggies have no interest in dead animals.

Ewwwe :O. My only suggestion is just to keep it in mind, and if you do end up unwell over the coming days, at least you can tell the dr what had happened.....othewise, as gross as it all is, i recon you are going to be fine, just squeemish over the thought of it all...............im sitting here thinking of all the times we have let Kato kiss us now, and wondering what he may have been into just before the kiss..............i dread to think.......lol

MAybe a maggot or two, but probably nothing more serious than that. I doubt you will catch a disease from it.

Being the constantly wooried mom that I am, I'd at least call your vet. Your dog may need tome antibiotics or something after consuming a dead creature.
