Question Sick dog

I have a mixed breed from the pound (we suspect part Wire-haired Griffon). He has been sick for about a week now, and I'm trying to figure out if it's something worth going to the vet for, or if it's something that will pass (maybe an allergy or something). It started with him laying pretty lifelessly (which isn't terribly uncommon for him), but I started to worry when he began moaning and whining occasionally. Then he started having really slimy, occasionally greenish diarrhea (sorry, a little graphic I know). I noticed his appetite start to dwindle and now he's started drinking a lot more (he drank an entire bowl of water in 5 minutes yesterday for no real reason). Yesterday he vomited twice, HUGE amounts, yellowish brown. Today, he's still pretty lifeless, and had visibly thick mucous on his stool, though it has gotten a little more solid (at least the first few pieces). Any idea as to what's going on?

Poor boy, he sounds really rough. I think you should get him to the vet asap. There is no way of knowing from a description of those symptoms what might be going on. He could have an infection or a blockage but he definitely needs a vet trip.

Yes, take him to the vet. Luna had soemthing similar when we got her from the shelter. She had kennel cough and diarrhea from the food change. They gave her some antibiotics and some medication that kept her from having diarrhea.
