Default Pancreatitis?

Hi I hope someone can help me. My 12 yr. old Cairn terrier Sammy was rushed to an emergency vet clinic on Nov. 28th with severe vomiting, pain (he couldn't stand up or lie down, just sat there). The admitted him, hooked him up to IVs, took x-rays, liver biopsy, a myriad of blood tests and decided he had pancreatitis. After 5 days I took him home (after a $4500 bill). They gave me Purina EN dog food and medications. He is not doing well. He doesn't want to eat the food they gave, so they substituted the dry version and he won't eat that either. I tried some rice and chicken breast, he ate some of it the second day home and now won't touch it. I can't the medications into him today, he knows it's coming and growls, snaps and won't open his mouth at all. He is drinking water with Pedialyte. I don't want to bring him back to the hospital, he's been traumatized enough and frankly, I can't afford any more of these bills. He doesn't seem to be in pain but sleeps all day. He still vomits twice a day, just white foamy stuff. He is alert if you call his name but just doesn't seem to want to bother with anything. If my dog is dying, I'd rather he die at home where he is comfortable, not in some hospital with a rotation of vets that come and go. Can anyone offer any suggestions? We're sick with worry and at our wit's ends. Thanks.
Linda

I have no suggestions but I just wanted to let you know that ya'll are in my thoughts & prayers. I know how stressful it is to have a sick baby & just how heart breaking it can be. I pray that you're able to find Sammy some relief & comfort.

My dog has the same diagnosis. He won't eat but does drink water. Try serving him white rice with broth and cottage cheese. Your dog should be on antibiotics. Did the vet give you any? ALSO the vomiting should have stopped. Get your vet to give you meds for this. WAY OVERCHARGED seems and for zero results (your hospital)
