My Harley is licking her paws and thigh. I'm worried it's the glands again and am waiting to go home for the winter break to go to the vet. Semester just ended so I'll be home in a few days. Does anyone know what else causes licking if it isn't hot spots or any wounds? She doesn't do it vigorously, it seems like a casual thing, but I know dogs do it if they have allergies or anal gland issues.

Our chocolate Lab licks his paws more than casually but not excessive. Our vet told us that is a sign his allergies are acting up. We know when he starts licking his paws more than normal then we need to get him back on his medicine. He doesn't need the medicine all the time, just when the allergies flare up. He's had allergies since he was a little puppy.
