I'm looking to see what's the best dog food to feed a dog. the size bailey will possibly be. being I'm still unsure of his breed(s) as of now beacuse he's not Tech mine yet. I went out and got a off brand of dog food being i was not sure how long he will stay. but Im looking for a long term dog food that is a good quality, filling and not expensive. as I only get paid once a month and can't spend a lot on dog food more then once a month. maybe a mix of 2 foods that will last me a month.

I know for my ferrets there is a food chart like pyramid that shows the best first and goes down as the grade goes down in quality. and for them I feed them 2 of the top rated foods and buy the big economy bags and it lasts them 1 month. and being the top quality rated foods are cat foods.. I feed the same mix to my 2 kitty's. and this mix lasts 4 ferrets and 2 kitty's a month.

in your opinion. what is the best, or if there is a doggy food "pyramid" plz list it so I can choose the 1 or 2 best foods to feed bailey if he ends up becoming ours permanently.

The reality is that those "pyramids" as you describe them are not actually accurate with regards to what is the best or not the best. Each dog as well as breed can deal differently with dog foods. There are top of the line ones with less fillers than there are those that advertise meat when in fact it is only meat byproducts. It is best that you carefully read the ingredients and choose for yourself. Most vet nutritionists will tell you that if your dogs health check ups come back showing healthy than the food you are giving it is fine.
