Question Problem with fleas

My schnauzer Molly keeps fleas. We have her on Comfortis once a month and frontline as well. It seems to be lasting for about three weeks and then she is miserable. We live on a farm in the country and have exterminated our house twice this summer already. Is there anything else we can do besides risking the medication every three weeks instead of the recommended four?

Default Fleas

Shampoo with Dr. Bronner's Organic Eucalyptus Liquid Soap. They sell 2 oz. trial size. Just to the his website to purchase. Eucalyptus kills fleas and also repels them. You can get some aromatic Eucalyptus oil from the health food store and put it in between the toes, and just spot place the oil around ears and neck too to repel them.

I have both of my dogs on Revolution. I've never had a problem with fleas, internal parasites or heartworm. You might want to ask your vet about it.

Default How I keep the fleas down without chemicals

Hi I learned this trick a few years ago from my Gram & I swear by it. I have a pack of dogs & really can't afford frontline...ect.... I use regular old table salt...... sprinkle my carpets , furnature & pets about once a month ...maybe a bit more in the summer ....... I just leave it on for a couple hours & vaccuum & I just let it fall off the dogs... It kills all stages of fleas & interrupts their life cycle
