Arrow A Very Good (BEST) Home Vet Handbook to have

I am giving a link to a home vet handbook that I have a copy of. (559 pages and newer edditions have even more) I keep referring to this book when I see members posts on health problems, etc. Mine is an older edition but still very good. I believe dog (cat) owners should have this great book. This is a link to Amazon and this book.-----> Amazon.com: Dog Owner's Home Veterinary Handbook (Howell Reference Books) (9780876052013): James M. Giffin MD, Liisa D. Carlson DVM: Books Piratekitty, there is a whole big chapter on the eyes in this book. I have brought up the book and it gives the whole long chapter on line. I am not sure at moment, exactly how I got it but will try to find it again. In mean time you may be able to find it yourself.

Here is the chapter on the eyes: Dog Owner's Home Veterinary Handbook - Debra Eldredge, Liisa D. Carlson, DVM, Delbert G. Carlson, James M. Giffin - Google Books

Corky Max, would you suggest getting the same version you have or the newer one? I plan on ordering, and I was just wondering? Thanks

I haven't seen the newer version(s). My book was printed in 2000--so is going on 12 years old and there have been a couple newer 'updates' since then. Mine has 558 pages and I believe the newer ones have more pages and prob. more info and must have been newer procedures (improved) in the past 12 years. I would prefer a newer 'model.' But I know this is expensive unless you find a good deal on Amazon.com. I think if you bring up that link I gave--You can find something to click on that will give you more info on the newer ones.

Here are a couple links that might give you some info to help make a decision (This new book isn't as pricey as I thought---at least not through Amazon.com): Amazon.com: Dog Owner's Home Veterinary Handbook (9780470067857): Debra M. Eldredge DVM, Liisa D. Carlson DVM, Delbert G. Carlson DVM, James M. Giffin MD, Beth Adelman: Books
