Default Mutt probelms

Hi I have a dog that is 18 years old( yes human ). And she is starting to shake when people get near her or when I put my hand near her. But after we touch her she stops shaking and relaxes. And she was vary active and now all she wants to do is lay down. When i would jingle her leash she would start jumping up and down and barking...Now she just looks at me and wont run to the door when i put it on her. And her breath is really fishy smelling...I took her to the vets and he told me that she is healthy...and said the breath is just a dog breath...Can any one please help me. Because i had this dog when i was born and it would kill me if i dont stop/ prevent anything that i can in my power.

She is a mix from a collie and another bread but mostly collie(sp)
thanks, andy

Hum... well I would've told you to take her to the vet, but you already did that. I can imagine the fishy breath just being bad breath. I don't really know what to tell you, but keep an eye on her and if anything new comes up, call the vet.

Wow, what a good age she is, you should be proud of yourself! Age is more than likely catching up to her and stopping her being as active as she used to be, her eyesight & hearing will be fading as well as her joints becoming achey. Although most old dogs have bad breath associated with dental disease, some breath smells can indicate organ disease. If I were you, I would take her back to the vets and get some blood work done to rule out kidney/liver damage, diabetes, etc. Good luck.
