Frequent Ear Infections
Hello, I'm new here. I was wondering if you guys might be able to help me. I have a 3 year old Labrador Retriever. We have owned him since he was a young pup. He is a strange dog, doesn't like to swim, is totally hyper and afraid of a lot of things. Anyway, he started out getting lots of urinary tract infections and then progressed from those to having ear infections, I know why mention the urinary infections? I don't know...Guess I'm just giving history.
I noticed tonight that he looks like he has another ear infection, a small amount of brown gunk and he cried when I was rubbing his ear. So I will make a vet appt for my poor boy tomorrow. I'm at my wit's end. He has had several ear infections. Some are fungal, some are bacterial. What the heck am I doing wrong?? I feel so bad for my poor "Pudge Pudge" (his real name is Black Jack)
Does anyone else have these problems?? The vet mentioned that we could have him tested for allergies but it was really expensive and then give him shots of some sort, but it might not work.
I just want my dog to feel better . Thank you for any help that you can give me.
