 old dog + major surgery?
Hi yall...I have a 14 year old Lhasa-Peke mix.He has a stage 2-3 heart murmur.He was diagnosed yesterday with a perianal hernia.He is taking stool softeners now,so he is comfortable.The vet says he could get a hernia on the other side, which would result in total blockage. My question, and I really need everyones advice...should I put my best friend thru this surgery?I have a consult on the 13th,a specialist would do the surgery, major bucks,we don't have enough money, but we will stand along the road if neccessary to pay for the op.Please guys help me and my daughters with this decision.......... |
