I hear milk is quite bad as it makes there stomachs churn.. i dunno if thats true or not.

My mum likes to feed the dog left overs which drives me crazy as it makes her scabby!

There is one piece of advice I carry with all my pets concerning left overs and such;

If you wouldn't feed it to your children, then don't feed it to your pet!

That would not narrow it down enough for me since my kids would eat most things and the youngest is a spicy food fan.

Our dog gets leftovers mixed in with her food and I used to be more discerning about what I gave her than I am now. I try to avoid spicy food but for the most part, if we eat it then she gets share.

I don't let her have sweets or chocolate.

Yeah I think Spicy foods is a NO NO unless you want runny poo all over the floor..

I really dont like feeding the dog scraps as she just wants more & more off our plates.

I think dogs should eat dog food..

Also are they ok to eat Lamb bones? you know like Lamb Chops.. the bits of bone left as my mum is always feeding her them.

I would advise against feeding any type of cooked bones. Cooked bones splinter easily and can cause blockages and constipation.

I have heard that grapes and pork are bad for dogs.
I try to stick to proper dog food and dog treats for my dog, however the kids sometimes give her left overs when I'm not looking.

As far as feeding scrap goes in my house my dog is given feeds before me as my mother is more concerned of her being hungry than me
So there is no question of her getting any scrap food.
Though the cats do devour a large quantity of it, even they are more important to my mom than me

As far as feeding practices go the pets get almost everything that we eat but when the gravy is too spicy then we put more of rice so as to dilute.
We tried feeding them things other than what we ate but then they are considered as a part of the family so the food is cooked with that consideration now-a-days.

Hey and I personally advice you people to not feed your dogs sweets as it results in serious hair loss problems for them and then you will end up with dog hair all over your house.
I guess I have clearly explained the situation in my house as far as FEEDING is concerned.
