Talking Life Lessons Learned From Dogs

Life Lessons Learned from a Dog

* If you stare at someone long enough, eventually you'll get what you want.
* Don't go out without ID.
* Be direct with people; let them know exactly how you feel by piddling on their shoes.
* Be aware of when to hold your tongue, and when to use it.
* Leave room in your schedule for a good nap.
* Always give people a friendly greeting. A cold nose in the crotch is effective.
* When you do something wrong, always take responsibility
(as soon as you're dragged out from under the bed).
* If it's not wet and sloppy, it's not a real kiss.

This is true! My kids do this all the time. And it works!

I hope and wish my friend Di would read, believe and live by this.

Hey! Can I use this maxim during boring boardroom meetings? Oh wait, I will have one printed and frame it and have it displayed at my desk.

I try very hard not to give in to the first one, but they're called 'puppy dog eyes' for a reason!

These are great.
For other life lessons from dogs, you might want to take a look at my book "Lessons To Live By: The Canine Commandments." You can read about it at Lessons To Live By The Canine Commandments. 100% of the net proceeds from the book (as well as tee shirts, etc) are donated to animal rescue groups and humane associations.

Keep the lessons coming, we'll always have more to learn from our dogs!

These lessons just prove that dogs are intelligent beings! They can do wonders that most humans can not.
