I hate those things and so does my dog! Paid $17.50 for the da-n thing---Dog had it on about 5 min. and had to take it off of him!

C'mon people -the dog was recovering from neuter surgery and licking the incision sites for the neuter surgery and his dew claw removal. The vet said he had to wear it or he'd get an infection.

Let's see - infection or wearing the ecollar. What a choice!

This picture is his attempt to remove the blasted thing. Believe me - no one liked it, and Alvin insisted on fighting it. And he almost won!

Worst part of this whole episode is that I have to repeat it at the beginning of December for my other pup Simon. I know he'll get it off - he had plenty of how to lessons.

You asked for captions for the picture. The one I gave you was a royal reference. Those collars are sometimes called Elizabethan collars and the phrase, "We are not amused" is I believe attributed to Queen Victoria.

It's a great caption! I interpreted "We are not amused" as a reaction to the picture. My bad for interpreting.

No problem. Perhaps, I didn't make myself clear. I do think that particular caption fits rather well though, given the circumstances!

to me this picture looks like it should read:

"Laugh... and the world laughs with you." "Laugh hysterically, for no apparent reason, and they'll leave you alone."

this is a great picture!!!

and - FYI - if you ever need to use an e-collar again, they make ones that are soft and not so hard for your cute little pup to get around in. I found this out after having to put one on our golden retriever and he literally cracked it in half to get it off... We ended up cutting the darn thing back about 2.5 inches the whole way around so he couldn't itch his wound, but he could still get a drink of water or eat without assistance. Then I find out they make soft ones.....
