I have one that sings - and holds a conversation. The more fuss you make the more she speaks. Love it!
Oh, and I have one that always has to have the last word. No matter how quiet that last word is!

I have a few of those "last words" one also. Problem is they keep going on and on, each trying to get in the last word....

The talking back is just to us, fortunately. If they all decided they wanted the last word I'd be deaf!
My old JR would whisper and get quieter and quieter and then just would lift his lip.

My Lhasa sometimes snorts when he gets over excited. He's the only dog I've had that does that.

Tiffany will occasionally snort after she barks a few times. It makes me think of people who snort when they laugh.

I have two pugles, who snort ALOT! It might just be breathing problems, or your dog has something in his nose.

Our BT puppy snorts and huffs through her nose when she goes outside - its almost like the fresh air irritates her nose! She has sneezed once or twice and before she does, she opens and shuts her mouth, almost in an "ahh...ahhh...atchooo!" which is quite funny to watch.

Our dog doesn't really snort but she makes a noise in her nose that almost sounds like she's purring. It's gets louder and louder until you give her some attention. She's our "pretty, pretty, little, princess" and truly lives up to the name.
