Default In Memory of Bengie....gone but not forgotten

When I was younger, we had a family dog for 12 years, by the name of Bengie.

He was a wonderful dog, very loyal, very loving and a great friend. Unfortunately as he got older he had problems with his legs, and towards the end he stopped eating and drinking properly.

We knew that the end was on the way.

I was there at the end when the vet put him to sleep, and I held his paws and stroked him until his eyes closed. Not a nice experience, but something which I needed to do.

I could go on forever about Bengie, and I still think of him even 10 years later.

A great friend and loyal companion who is sorely missed by all of our family.

thats very sad..how old were you when you had to put bengie down?..
at least you got to be with him as he passed..

I dont think I will ever forgive (I sort of understand) but never forgive my mom for putting down my ceasar without telling me! I was 13 i wasnt 5anyways..
I never got to say goodbye..she thought it would be too hard on me..plus I knew he was sick!
it still hurts to this day 10 years later that I didnt get to say goodbye!

im glad you got to say goodbye to bengie
