Unhappy Ajax Our sweet boy

My family lost the best dog in the world or atleast our world last Thursday. We brought our 10 year old New Skeet German Shepherd to the vet to get what we thought and were told be a pervious vet we his anal glands checked out. But the vet called us back with the news we didn't want to hear, it wasn't his anal glands it was Cancer and he thought that it would be best to have him put to sleep because it was really bad. What do you do at a time like this we cried and cried and then thought and fought with alot of emotions. Do we satisfy our feelings and let him suffer, or satisfy him and let him go peacefully and we suffer. Well needless to say I am crying right now and miss him so so much!! He went everywhere with us, concerts, shopping everywhere. He was my protector when I was in the car alone or with my kids. I never thought it would be this hard. Man was I wrong.. This sucks!!

Default So Sorry

I am so so sorry for your loss. You must be heart broken i know i would be. I have a yorkie who was 16 in March and he has so many health problems the last one being renal failure. This was diognosed over 5 months ago so i know we are on borrowed time. It will still cut me up but i know about it. You didn't have a warning and that must have been awful for you. I believe you did the right thing it would have been for your selfish reasons to let him go on. Just remember you gave him a good life and he was loved and he knew that. I wish you well.---AGGY
