I'm so very sorry. I can't even begin to imagine what that must have been like for you.
I am just horrified that people are allowed to use poison in such a careless way. Not only is it a terrible danger to companion animals but, it has the potential to cause carnage throughout the food chain.
If a mouse or rabbit were to ingest the poison, the bird of prey or any other animal that came across it and decided to eat the poisoned one would also die from the poison. As bad as that is, it doesn't even begin to address the terrible way in which these poor creatures die as a result of being poisoned.
Is there some movement underway by companion animal owners and animal lovers in general to ban the use of this dreadful substance? If it happened to you, you can be sure that there are other pet parents out there who have also lost their fur kids to this dreadful poison.
