I lost my 15 yr old friend tonight. I know she is in a better place playing with her old friends that past before her. But it still hurts.

So sorry to hear of your loss! I know your Miracle was 15--but you just joined and I had no clue that she was ill--Was this a sudden thing or just due to her age? I know this is prob. not much comfort right now but I trully believe you will greet her again.

I am so sorry and sad for you. I too, believe that we will greet our friends again... possibly at the Rainbow Bridge where we'll be reunited and continue to Heaven together. Just last month my son lost his Golden Retriever, 11 yrs. old. It was heart wrenching, but it urged me to research, Will dogs be in heaven, and I came across a beautiful website with lots of scripture that put my doubts to rest. If you are interested, I will find it for you.

Thank you to everyone for your kind words. Miracle was brought to me by my son as a 6-8 week old pup from his job. She was born a "junkyard" dog and was bit in the head by an older dog while she was trying to eat. We immediately took her to the vet and they didn't think she would survive. But she was a tough little one. She has had many surgeries for stones and had a skin graft on her back due to a fight her and one of my other dogs got into. She started to develop a lot of lumps on her that the doctor didn't think was cancer. But last night her stomach blew up, she tried to vomit but nothing came up and she cried. I knew exactly what was wrong and rushed her to the vet. Miracle never cried before. We had already decided that she had enough surgeries in her life and the doctor, who took care of her all these yrs said she would not make it through this surgery. I just lost my Charlie earlier this yr too. He was in a wheel chair for a yr and was Miracles friend. So I know that she is in good company. We have lost 5 of our loved ones in the last couple of years due to age and illness. Miracle was a special, strong loving furry friend that I will miss terribly. I told everyone that I will still hear her growing at everyone(she was grumpy too).
