Lol, it took me so long and I had a few problems with getting the pics to take here too and then I thought for a minute I had lost the whole long post---anyway I am not sure you got to read the whole thing as I see you answered before I got done with the whole thing!--I kept editing.
Yeh! I'm a Taurus for sure--about 5 other planets are in Taurus in my chart besides the Sun---like Moon, Venus, Jupiter, Saturn, and Uranus=6 total. Really stuck in a rut, lol!
Can I ask you where you live now? Wisconsin is sure cold in the winter most of the time --You prob. had it a little colder in La Crosse than I do here in southern Wi--Cobb---Lol, at least the addition of southern makes it sound a little warmer!

I live in Fla. now - a little warmer than Wisconsin. Thank you so much for your responses. I feel like I'm not so alone. I will definitely get some of those books you recommended. I used to watch Sylvia Browne on Montel Williams. I'm not a religious person, but I sure do hope Sylvia is right! I would love to think of Kate running around with a lot of furry friends.

I envy you the warmer weather! Just wanted to say --I am not a religious person either--no church for me but I consider myself more spiritual--natural. I am like you too--I hope Sylvia is right!!

Hi - you mentioned that you were trying to get a waiver for Sami's rabies shot, and this set me to wondering if I contributed to Katie's end with her shot. Kate was operated on on Sept7,2010, and a 3+ lb tumor was taken out of her belly. This was the second time this happened. In Dec 2008, a large grapefruit sized tumor was taken out. Both tumors were benign, but the vets told us that Kate had an inoperable tumor on her liver. Kate recovered well from these surgeries, but in Oct. 2010, she developed MMM on the left side of her head - an autoimmune response. At first, she was okay, but the condition worsened and by this January, her third eyelid covered her eye completely and she couldn't see out of the left eye. In November, 2010, I had the vet in CT give her her rabies shot and kennel cough vaccine, because we were leaving for FL and FL required yearly rabies shots (or so I thought - I just found out that FL changed this in 2009). Kate had been very shaky on her feet, but by Feb (this month), her front legs were pretty much carrying her - she could still walk, but often needed help to get going and she often fell down when she relieved herself. Coupled with cognitive dysfunction, Katie was failing faster. Do you think I might have made things worse by getting her the rabies shot?

I'm sorry--I don't want to make you feel guilty--I have enough of that myself over putting Corky down even though it was truly necessary--His blood test results were off the wall and his last day I had to carry him to the car. So I hate to respond to your question at all! But I don't know what else to say---The vets will poo poo things away and this is my views (and actually other people's too). I can't lie as you already know how I try to avoid that damn rabies shot as much as I can. The autoimmune thing could very well be caused from the Rabies shot in my opinion--(I am not an expert here you know but I have read a lot on the rabies adverse effects) The best thing I can do is tell you to put-->dogs rabies vaccination adverse reactions--> in your browser or words to that order. I don't think you should feel guilty for not knowing about some things--You were doing what you thought was best. It would be wonderful if the vets would supply info more than they do before they give shots and meds--Damn pharmaceutical companies I believe have a lot of vets brainwashed to start with so they can profit off of this too.

I would email her--Go to her profile/home page in this forum--If you go find her name to click on and click on view, etc on the pop-up you will find her email address under the contact ways. One way to find her name to click on is to go to the section/forum on the 1st page of this forum--click on the Health and Nutrition section and you will find her name a little ways down --the thread on New Mexico rabies laws. Click on her name and will bring you where you need to go. Sorry if I am making you feel bad. Just know that your dog knows you love it and does not blame you for anything no matter what.
I have emailed her a few times when I had questions to do with rabies. (and the laws)

thanks for your response. Don't worry - you're not making me feel any guiltier than I already feel. Although I realize that modern medicine has given our wonderful pets longer lives, I realize it's a double edged sword. The vaccines prolong lives, but also can cause untold traumas and problems. I used the titer tests with Kate in the past, and was able to bypass the regular shots for many things, but I bought in to the annual rabies shot in Florida - didn't even question the need for this. I have learned my lesson - in the future with our new dog (when we get him or her), I will insist on titer tests for everything and will fight the vet against giving unnecessary shots. Thanks for being so responsive and caring.
