[Mija's Mom]

It has been a week since I had to make the difficult decision to put my beloved Mija to rest. Mija was my 9 year old rottie. It was over a month ago I noticed a huge lump on Mija's right shoulder, at first I thought she had dislocated but after a visit to the vet it was confirmed it was a mass cell tumor, which we later found out is the third worse cancer a dog can get. We had the tumor removed and tested and it came back stage 3. We had considered chemo but Mija was unable to heal from surgery and thats when we discovered the tumor had already grown back and expanded into her leg and stomach. Mija stopped eating and began to slowly pull away. She no longer had her carefree loving the world look in her eyes, all I saw was pain. She had been such a faithful, loyal, loving friend to me that I could no longer see her suffer. It is the hardest thing I have ever had to do.
I miss her terribly everyday but take comfort that she is no longer in pain. She truly was a remarkable dog and I have been blessed to have known her. That is all I can say tonight but will share more at another time.

I'm sorry - as a family we went through the same thing a few weeks ago. Your dog was clearly very loved and you did the right thing.

[bear my buddy]

Lost my twelve old rottie girl last night after a week long battle + surgery and cause still unknown dont know why i am on here//// looking for comfort maybe and others who have lost rotties comfort.....rottweilers a very special breed of dog a breed like no other.... my buddy, bear was my best friend too I cant sleep i feel for your loss as i go through my own sadness which is pretty raw I will post my own memorial to my bear at a later date .....just wanted to say i know how you feel but like bear your mija died a much loved friend and companion and an adored pet......mija and bear had the very best of care.......hugs to ya......deb bears sad owner.
