I wasnt looking for Bentley when he came into our home. I was searching the local rescue to try and help a friend of mine who wanted a boxer puppy. I fell in love with Bentley the second I saw his picture on the rescue's website. I went to see him and after discussing it with my husband who was out of town working, Bentley became ours. We already had Sophie the boxer and now the 95lb coach potato. Bentley would pick up your shoes but never eat them. He would carry them back to wear he was laying and just "hang out" with them. He LOVED the water and would face surf in a kiddie pool he was much too big to swim in. EVERYONE who met him fell in love with this dog. In February of this year he started having seizures and after thousand of dollars and three vets....We had to have him put down in August. His ashes are on our mantel and Bentley will forever be in our hearts. I think the day we picked up his ashes was almost as bad as the day we had to have him put down. Its been 4 months and I still have one good cry a week over him being gone.
