Default Mother to Gracie

Hello I am Gracie's mom She is a 5 or 6 year old part terrier mix. She looks kinda funny she is very short with a really long body so I tell everyone that she got her body from her mom and her legs from her dad. She is a very loving dog. She follows me everywhere I go, but she does not like strangers she will go to the man that lives across the street over to his yard and bark at him< I wish that I knew how to break her but to this day she still does it.

I don't have a picture of her on my new computer or I would show everyone what my baby looks like.

Hmmm...I don't know how to help you with that problem. I have a dog that doesn't like strangers either, but only when they're on her "turf". I can take her places & she's fine with people, but when they walk through the door, she doesn't like it. She doesn't run after people though & she won't go off the property to another yard & bark. Maybe you'll have to keep an eye out to see if the neighbor's out & not let her off the leash if he/she is in their yard.

Well since he told us that he would kill her if she came back into his yard we have been walking her. She is not a very big dog but yes if she bite you i'm sure that it would hurt. She will leave our yard and bark at anyone esp. if she thinks that you are affraid of her that makes it 10 times worse.

That's not good. Sounds like maybe the best thing to do would be to fence your yard if you can. How old is she? If she's young enough, you may be able to work with her & get her a lottle better at it. But I doubt if you could ever completely make her stop.
