I have an adorable miniature dachsund that is seven years old. Her name is Breena. She weighs only a few pounds. She is adorable and sweet, but doesn't like strangers. Dachsunds can be territorial.

I love those types of dogs. My uncle used to have 2 that would crack me up. They would cover themselves up and they would not stop fussing until they found the perfect position and had the cover in the perfect spot.

That is too funny! We have two miniature dachsund outselves, they are very protective of the baby, in a good way though.

My dachshund is territorial also, and does not like strangers as well.
