It's a nice name but it doesn't really sound like a dog's name... I don't think that "human" names should be given to dogs.

Selina is hard because there are 3 syllables. However, ending in an "a" sound is helpful. Most dog owners find it easy to use only 2 syllables and most names that are more are shortened or nicknamed to become such. The "a" sound is uncomplicated to make, so it runs smoothly off your tongue. Selina reminds me of the latin singer.

I'm not a fan of human names for Dogs-we bought a 8month old lab that had the name Meghan-which we shortened to Meg-we moved and Our neighbours kid is Meghan-it's kind of embarassing! But selina is nice, although your dog will respond better to a one sylable sharp sounding name!My dogs are plenty smart!! their names are also used as their retrieve command so only one goes at a time! thats is why one sylable is better easier for the human to say!

Selina is nice but a dog name with 2 syllables is much more ideal. I personally like Scarlet, Sugar, Pepper & Dixie.Check out this link for more suggestions.http://www.bowwow.com.auHere is an article on How to Name Your Doghttp://www.ehow.com/how_1665_name-dog.html
