I think that is fine and very normal. Just wait, you won't be able to shut her up in a couple of weeks. Be careful what you say around her.

Awww... cute. I suppose you're waiting for "mama"? Don't worry, her vocabulary will expand soon. She's not quite 1 years old yet, and it's not too uncommon for them to have a limited vocabulary at this age. Keep talking to her, read to her, play with her... and just enjoy her!

Thats great! Praise her for being smart and keep naming everything around her. She will start talking anytime now! It is easier to make the "da" sound then the "ma" sound so thats why babies usually say dada first.

My daughter is a yr and 2 months and she only says Dada, Mama, Bottle and my sons name Aiden but not perfectly.. All kids are at there own pace and you just need to be patient. What I do is repeat everything. If she wants her Elmo she says ahhaahh! I tell her no ELMO!! ELMO! and she tries and I figure she will learn it just as we do when its repeated. My other kids said nothing one day and then could not shut them up for the life of me....LOL!!!

Yes it is normal, every child is different, she will pick up more words before you know it!

yeah, that is ok. her vocabulary is actually broader than that. you might think that is the only words she knows, but there are some words she might not be able to say it but she understands it. im pretty sure you tell her something and she responds, right?

Yes, that's just fine. My son is almost 11 months old, and he can only say "Momma". As long as they can say *something* by the time they're around a year old everything is fine.

your daughter is doing fine. When children are 12 months old they should be saying 3 words, so it seems to me as you daughter is right on track.
