I love when dogs have people names! So I would say don't worry about whether your dogs name sounds like a persons..its really cute! Giving a person a dog name is entirely different however, lol.

One of my Dad's friends named her pitbull Dakota.Except she wasn't named after Dakota Fanning like I had thought..She named the dog after her dodge dakota pick up truck I think you should be able to name your dog what ever you want. And it shouldn't matter if its name that a human would noramlly have. A lot of people give their dogs human names:-D

I think Dakota is a better name. But what kind of dog is it? Madison does sound more human, but hey it's your dog.
I mean I have a dog named Damion, Chloe and Ratchet.
