When I get a new pet, I look at their physical features, personality, and habits before I name them. Use to have a cat I named Gizmo because he had vey large ears like the Magwi on the movie Gremlins. My dog is named Shadow cause he follows me around like my shadow. You don't have to name your new baby as soon as you get it. Take a few days to get to know her before you name her.

There are lots of interesting screen names here on YA that would make good names for a dog.
