The pair of male English Springer Spaniel littermates I grew-up with were Kyle & Kodi. Their sire's call name was Rebel.

aka Kyle: I named after the first Borzoi I ever met, I wanted a Borzoi since age 10.

Kodi: short for Kodiak, my mom named him after a character in a TV show she saw as a kid.

My last Springer was Elton....
I knew I wanted an English name for my baby boy. Elton John had recently won an award for the Lion King, so my pup was named Elton! I got Elton just before Easter, and he was a dark chocolate brown color so I chose his registered name as: Sir Elton of Cadbury

"My" Elton was actually "Sir Elton" before Elton John was*BG*

Rio is our youngest baby (9 mos. old) - Boxer-Beagle/Yellow Lab. Sammy is Doberman, shepherd, something something (22 mos. old). Rio just happen to really love water - we named him correctly.

My male, Spike, was named that because I had to think of a name quickly. His name was "Buddy" when we got him, but we already had a dog in the house that was named "Buddy", so Spike was the first thing that came to mind. He gets called Chewy frequently though because when he really wants something, he sounds like Chewbacca from Star Wars. LOL

Star was named for the marking on her chest. She only has 1 little mark & it looks like a star.

Denali just sounded good. LOL Also, denali means Mt. McKinley & her markings kinda look like mountains.

My dog Gracie was already named when we got her and she knew her name also, she is very smart. So I really don't know how she got the name Gracie, but I like her name.

Brutus is named Brutus because he is giant and needed a *manly* dog name.

My dog Spartacus does not come from where everyone thinks it comes from. In the movie The Birdcage, the pool boy played by Hank Azaria is named Agador Spartacus. My best friend has a dog named Agador.

My dog was already grown when we got her she was pobably a 14 months old or so but she already had the name Gracie and she knew her name so we all liked it and just kept calling her that.

I was a student of history, and my dogs reflect how I really liked ancient history. Hence, the names of my dogs are Julius and Achilles.
