First of all it is such a personal thing to do. Just like parents naming their child. The name should just come from within you and that actually happens. I got this cute pup and I was also wondering what to name her and then in the due course of a few days this name to me 'Boshi' and that's her name now. It does mean a 'cap' or a 'hat' in Japanese and as am a Japanese student this came to me. SImilarly you can think like that too.Otherwise it is cool to name a male dog 'DOG'. or 'DAWG' for that zing. Also you can name him as per the body characteristics. Try Buddy, Bingo, Ping..List is endless

Jake, Jerry Lee, I named my Mastiff Grover since most Mastiff's sell for at least $1000. Grover Cleveland is on the $1000. bill. Or let him "earn" his name by something he does or eats that is different to you. They say when you name a child or pet you should step out on the back porch & call the name 3 times to see if you will be comfortable calling them in. There is also several sites for the most common pet names. Do a google search for pet names. (They also have baby names for those who want baby names)Enjoy your dog they are special to our hearts like children.

What kind o f dog? I had the same delimma. My dog is a chihauhau mix. I sent pics to several friends to solicit ideas. One friend came back with a great list, which was the source of my dogs name. You might try that. Some ideas for him: Mocha Latte (Mo), Snickers, Reeses Peanut Butter Cups (Reeses) and Raspberry Truffle (Razz). Razz he is!!! He has a total spikey mohawk type look, so it turned out perfect! (My friend was hungry and inspired by chocolate!)

Is There anything unusual about him.We have a Cocker Spaniel and we called him Alfie after the show on TV about an Alien Life Form that had a white streak on the top of his head, the same as our dog.
