Default Is the vitamin K1 that they give to dogs for rat poison that same as the human

supplement by the same name? I am wondering if you can give a dog K1 pills that you buy at the drug store, or if the vet's version is somehow different.Vitamin K1 is not an antidote I know that, it is used in the treatment of rat poison. The vet does give an initial shot but he sends you home with K1 pills. The only difference I can find would be strength. As far as purity I would argue that human supplements have to pass way more rigorous inspections for purity and quality than dog products, just look at the ingredients in dog chews or food sometime. K1 is a vitamin made naturally in the body. It serves to help the coagulation and clotting functions. Rat poison makes the animal unable to produce K1 naturally and therefore they will start to bleed profusely. There is absolutely no antidote for this particular form of rat poison, you must make your dog vomit everything out of their stomachs, and see a vet. I just wanted to know if anyone had proof that the HUMAN K1 is different than the CANINE K1.
