Butch (changed to "Spike" later on). Tyke was Spikes' puppy kid. There was also a Saint Bernard, but I am not sure he had a name.

If you are referring to the bulldog character and his little pup, the names are "Spike" and "Tyke".There is also a dog character simply known as "The St Bernard", an alpine rescue dog who digs Tom out of anvalanches and such, and then mixes him a martini to revive him. "St Bernard" only appears in a single episode, though, I imagine Spike and company are the ones you're thinking of...
