Rumbo
We have a purebred Bali dog (not the Bali Street dogs that everyone knows about) he is a Kintamani who are born and bred in the Kintamani Hills of Bali originating from a Chow Chow approx 600 years ago, they are trying to have the breed recognized with the Dog Breeding Association. We call him Rumbo but we are thinking of calling him THE BOSS for obvious reasons he is around 8 weeks old.

My Dog's Names
I am a pet lover and naming them is the best part! When I was a child I had a pit bull dogs named Whitney and Backy, actually they're black and white dogs. I named the white one Whitney cause it sounds like "white" right? and the black one Backy it sounds like "black". Well, I just wanted to name them uniquely according to their colors.
The last puppy I had well I brought it back to the owner because of some problems anyway, I named her "hearty" because she had a heart shape like on her forehead and she is so lovable that's why hearty really fits her.
Now I am planning to have a Shih Tzu and I am thinking to name her (i want a girl puppy) Lurpy. Well, it just slip out of my mind and I think it's cute, what do you think?

Cool, we have the same bred. The coat of chee-chee was got to his mother, a labrador. His ears are both different from each other. One ear got from the german and the other one got from a labrador.

I have a chocolate Lab that we named Duke and a mastiff we name Juno.
Several years ago we had a male Mastiff that we named Zeus. He was an amazing dog. Unfortunately, Zeus passed away. I did not want another mastiff for quite some time because I felt it was dishonoring Zeus. But after a few years, we decided we were ready for another Mastiff. We decided that our new mastiff had to be a girl and I didn't want her to have the same coloring as Zeus (didn't want it to be like I was replacing him). So when we finally found our pretty little female mastiff we decided that since Zeus had been named after the Greek god, we would name our new puppy Juno who was a Roman mythological goddess and the roman counter-part to Hera (Zeus' wife in Greek mythology). It was our way of letting Zeus know (up in doggy heaven) that we were still thinking of him.

I have a beautiful ol golden retriever named Kyda pronounced 'Keeda' and I have no idea why I called her that. I bought her 11 years ago sight unseen and told the lady from the town about three hours away to start calling her Kyda. Since then she has come to be known more as Kyda-bear
We also are waiting (7 more sleeps) for the arrival of our sweet baby girls that were rescued from a dump in Indonesia. Their names are Suci and Jalan. Suci meaning Sacred and Jalan meaning street in Indonesian. Suci was named by a woman that blessed her with holy water on the first night she was found as she was the one they didn't think would make it as she was so malnourished and sickly ... well the little trooper made it and is now bigger than her sisters. Jalan was named street as she was the one that was the most difficult to catch and left my friend running through a maggot filled dump and the street to catch her. She eventually realized that her little sisters looked happy so maybe it wasn't such a bad idea to let herself be too. They were only about 3 weeks old tops when they were discovered.
Now our old gal gets to teach these little girl some manners and how to be amazing like her in about a week

What a lovely story. We had a retriever and she kept our Jack Russells in order and taught them their manners. You must be so excited about your pups' arrival.

We are so excited. It is taking nerves of steel this week though in hopes everything goes great with them leaving Indonesia. We will break open the champagne as soon as we know they are on the plane 5 more sleeps until their arrival. Had Jalan and Suci's collar tags made yesterday

Welcome to the forum!
Will be sending you 'Good Vibes!' I know how you must be feeling--I went through a similar thing saving a dog from being put down--was to be euthenized the next morn. if someone didn't say they wanted her.
And thank you for rescuing.
I also love Golden Retrievers---the best. Mine are/were mixed with Cocker Spaniel--1 is gone now but I just rescued another of the same mix.
Be sure and let us know when the happy day arrives!!
