I have a chihuahua and so I thought it only proper to name him using a name from his native Mexico. I came up with Pedro and first but found out that was my wife's grandfather's name. We ruled that out. I thought of Pablo, yet that still wasn't the proper fit. Well I decided to stay with names that began with P so the next one was THE ONE. Pancho! Pancho is a great name and fits my dog well. The only thing is, I feel ridiculous when I'm walking him sometimes and I call out his name. Sometimes his name brings about snickers and laughs from those around us.

Why don't you try Paquito??? lol...Actually I can say Pancho is a good name...don't bother about anything just stick to it...:mrgreen: But if you want Pacundo is a nice name also...:mrgreen:

Since the name of your wife's grandpa is Pedro, why not name him Pedrito... or Lord Pedrito?!

Are those pet names or names for humans? Lol. It doesn't matter, why don't try Sandro or Sergio? I like those names.

Nothing wrong with pancho compared to what some folks call their dogs. People probably thought it was cute. I had a dog once that I named Malo which means bad, very very bad.
Please dont call him enrique or antonio or any of those 3 and 4 syllable names. You will get more than snickers I think.
What about Pepper? {hot peppers} Or taco.
