We are seriously considering naming her Sophie, but I thought I'd get a few other ideas before we decided. We already have 3 other dogs..(1) male beagle named Winston (2) Red male dachshund named Rusty and (3) black & tan female dachshund named Sydney.

Personally I think Sophie fits!!

Sophie does fit pretty well! She is a little cutie! I always like Sheba for a girl if it fit! Great looking dog though!

I guess I'm back to the drawing board after getting hammered by some friends for naming our dog Sophie. Has to do with a girl we knew named Sophie when we were growing up. I wasn't near as crazy about the name Sophie as my wife was anyway.

Anyway, since I don't want to hear that crap from my friends all the time, we're going to try again. Right now we're leaning towards either Chloe or Penny, but still open to other ideas.

Awww.... she's adorable! There's always been a soft spot in my heart for beagles :"> Growing up around a lot of beagles, I just always assumed they have a flower name, because all my dad's beagles had them!

So you could always name her Swe.et Pea or Blossom or Glory (short for morning glory).

But she is a good lookin' girl and good luck with a name!

(P.S. My boxer is Sophi, so I have a soft spot for that name, too!)

Sophie is quite a common name for female dogs. Why not try something unique or unpopular? How about Sofia or Shanti?

For some strange reason I looked at your puppy's photo and the first thing that popped into my head was Mokey from Fraggle Rock.
but I digress...
