Okay this is more for fun than anything....realistically it isn't a good idea and it can't happen any time soon but still.



Okay I had the weirdest dream last night.....I got a dalmatian puppy. I don't know the circumstances but I do know it was a young pup and its name meant "Lucky" or "Blessed"(I don't know what the name was)

I also don't know if the dog was male or female

I don't normally take a lot of stock in dreams but I have had a few that have felt real and have come to pass.....call it womans intuition.

Maybe I just want this one to happen I don't know.....growing up I always wanted a Dalmatian.

Anyways just out of curiousity what names mean "Lucky" or "blessed"

I think I'm going to go for it.....if its meant to be and the opportunity comes a long I may get a dalmatian


No strange names....something normal and easy to pronounce

(By the way I always give my pets real names...my current dogs are Zack and Sasha)

In Hawaiian, blessed is "pomaikai", isn't that pretty?

Well Pet Names has loads of good names. If you use the search bar and search 'names that mean--' you can probably get a few ideas

Go to: Behind the Name - the Etymology and History of First Names in the site-specific search browser, choose "meanings" in the first space, and type in "blessed" in the space next to it. It had a pretty good list, from various origins, including Welsh and Hebrew/Biblical. From the Welsh, I think the name Gwendolyn, or Gwen, would look very nice on a female Dalmation.

However.... you yourself admitted it may not necessarily be prudent to adopt a third dog into your apartment right now. I do believe in "message" dreams-- I have had several that have come true-- it may be possible that your dream, and it's meaning is symbolic. That is to say, that rather than implying you should actually act on your longing to own a dalmation, perhaps your dream meant something else. I'm inclined to think that by your inclination to name the dog "Blessed" or "Lucky," that perhaps you should be expecting something positive in your life soon-- a blessing of some sort. Or, you might even be needing to take a personal inventory of your life, and make a list of blessings you have received thus far. I realize from some of your other posts eleswhere in this forum that you have suffered a lot of discouragement, frustration, anxiety, and disappointment. Your dream may be a subconscious effort to heal your psyche and find peace (or it could even be God's way of reaching out to you-- I don't know what your spiritual philosophies are). This link actually had a blurb about dalmation, specifically-- not just "dog." This dream dictionary said that to see a dalmation in your dream means you have a tendency to overlook your own feelings, and see to the needs of others ahead of yourself. It said you are a "people pleaser." There, I hope that helps.

what about 'Tinny' a slang word for lucky in Australia.
