Question Help! I can't spell!

I want to call my Retriever/Malamute Zana, but want to spell it properly, so phonically said it is "say-na", but would you spell it; Zana, Zanna, Zaina, many ways?
Getting her next week, I want to get her a name tag, but how should I spell it?

Smile Spelling

I would spell it "Zana," but I guess you could also spell it "Zaina." I just think Zana looks better. Congratulations on getting a new dog. Is she a puppy?

Default Irellavent but read

Im sorry this doesnt really relate to the topic, but I recently heard about this website called Lotto Lincolns, i heard about it of of facebook, and its really neat. I know the owner, its actually a 14 year old kid, who absolutely loves pets. He says that he will donate 50% of the collected funds to the SPCA (i dont know if its local or not). Oh, you can donate pennies to his site (really to the SPCA) and if you donate 100 pennies you can enter in to get an itunes card, or other gift cards (can be used as great gifts). Well anyways i thought i might spread the word about this site on a couple of forums. BY the way, this community is great! Oh yeah, and my real name is Morgan Mccullough. I made my children donate 100 pennies each, they didnt mind much, they just thought about the prizes! Also, dont you think one of the prizes should be like dog food or toys? That would be awesome!

PS: Nice name, thats really unique. I hope you enjoy your dog!

That's pretty exciting for you, congrats! I could call her "Zey-na"... share some pics when she arrived!

Thanks, maybe I'll just keep it as Zana, I just thought it sounded more like Sanah like that.
So Zana is about eight weeks now, hasn't had her shots yet so I need to get that done first thing on getting her, Monday. She is a Retriever/Malamute and gorgeous, and I am no good at putting photo's on the computer.
Thanks

I haven't had any luck with putting photos on this site. I think you have to use photobucket or something like that. I only know how to upload pictures from my computer.

Whichever name you choose, the best nickname for her would be "Z."

As it happens, I changed her name to Ruby. Did love the name Zana, but for reasons not necessary to tell, it got changed.

LOL! Just goes to show that sometimes a dog's name reveals ITSELF at some point after the fact!

Retriever/malamute sounds like a GREAT combo!

That's so true. My first standard Dachshund came to me as a rescue, many years ago, and his name was Rusty. I had no intention of changing it, but every time I opened my mouth to call "Rusty" it came out Ralph. So he became Ralph, which suited him quite well, seeing as Ralph means "nobel wolf," or "nobel house wolf."

My most recent rescue, a long haired miniature Dachshund, was named Izzi. But he ran through the house, crashing into everything, so often he ended up being WhizBang. Whiz for short. People often hear me call him Whiz and ask me if I had a lot of trouble housebreaking him, LOL.
