Default ideas for a akc registered name

I have a Harlequin Great Dane Puppy that we have named Mariah. We would love help in picking out a unique classy name to put with it for her papers.

Hope you like this forum. (my 2nd home)
Do you have any pics to show of Mariah---might help to try to pick a name!
But will be trying to think of something in the mean time. What kind of personality does she have--like is she more princessly or queenly, etc--might help you decide on a name. Lol, sorry but seeing the word harlequin gives me a hard time from thinking about a clown. It is kind of blocking my mind right now! I know I have found a site before that gives ideas for this but can't remember what words I put in my browser!! (I know,I am a lot of help right now!)

Hey how about Harlequin Romance!

We recently got an AKC Saint Bernard. He pooped on our rug the as soon as we brought him in the door. Both me and Ryan said at the same time "Listen here, Buster!" And that became his AKC name. We just call him Buster though. Maybe you can pick a unique name that tells a story. Think of something about your dog that stands out the most like a funny incident, or what he did the first day at your home. I think our dog is one of the few dogs that knows his whole AKC name. He hears "Listen here, Buster!" quite often.

Yah, that name came to me like a lightbulb went off in my head! Doubt if I'll come up with a better one but will keep thinking. Just wanted to say I love that pic of Mariah--esp. the 6th pic. Beautifu pup! Boy! You have got to have your hands full with 12 puppies and the adults too. Guess you breed them to sell! How much does a full grown Great Dane eat a day?! Also want to say that they look to be very healthy dogs!

How about, "They Call The Wind Mariah"? I think it's an old song.

Default Wondering what to finish naming our yellow lab

Okay, so we bought a yellow lab today....male...he's 9 weeks old. Now we came up with the name Cooper and think it fits him quite well. However, I am trying to come up with his AKC name and drawing a little bit of a blank. I came up with Cooper Golden Nitro, which fits his color and his temperment. Is this a name that is going to get thrown back to me to revise?

The AKC is fairly liberal when it comes to the names you choose. I wouldn't worry about it. Generally though, most breeders ask that you also include the
breeder name ie: kennel name in the registered name.

Default Lab puppy

Actually, the breeder didn't specify whether or not we would have to do that. But I will be sure to ask her when I talk to her next. I am taking Cooper to the vet for a routine check-up sometime this week. I'm a little concerned that he had ticks and fleas all over him.

The area that the breeder was located was quite wooded and it didn't surprise me or hubby that he had them. It was after hours at the vet's office and they gave me a cool pill that killed all the fleas in 30 min. and some frontline to take care of any other things.

But, I always have my dogs checked for heartworms and they all get treatments started early. I'm not used to this area (Kansas) with all the new bugs that are not usually a problem where I am originally from....(Wyoming).

And no it was not one of those back yard breeders either. My vet gave me the name of this place and I know I bought a great dog. We had to replace our old lab who passed away from cancer a couple weeks back.
