[Haylee]

Heres my pack and their odd ways of naming.

So, lets start with Comet: We got his name because he would chase me up and down the hallway, and my name is Haylee... so we picked "Haylee's Comet." His show name is really "Carmel Coated Comet" but thats how we got it.

Next lets do Toby: Well, long story short, when I was little my favorite movie was Twister, and in the beginning of the movie the little girl has a little dog named Toby. And I thought it was the cutest name EVER so I wanted a dog named Toby. Then we moved to Kansas(in the dead center of tornado ally) and my mom and I rescued him from a puppy mill, I picked him up and said "hey there Toby", and his curly little tail just wagged away. I knew that was for sure his name.

And then theirs Koda Bear: We got him from the shelter, and I had No idea what to name him. Then he was running around the house playing with the other dogs, and he was making this funny noise that sounded like a baby bear playing... so I said lets call him Bear. Then I remembered the movie "Brother Bear" and the cute little baby bear in it, and his name was Koda Bear! So thats how that came about. Later I found out that Koda Bear actuallty means "Friend Bear" which is perfect becasue he is my best friend and service dog, so nothing is more fitting than Friend Bear. lol

The rest of my dogs have boring names. My mom named the Collie pup I bought her "Cassie" instead of "Lassie." <= Pretty original their eh? And we call the Dane mix pup Bruce, cuz he is "Bruce Almighty."

I just got a Chi Min Pin puppy and I named him Jax. I wanted to give him a "people" name, which usually for me means choosing something classic and spelling it weird (Jackson = Jaxon). My boyfriend and I knew right from the get-go that we didn't want a name that people always shortened, so we just stuck with Jax. a little name for a little dog

tara already had her name when we got her. we liked it so it stayed.

rudi was originally called tyler, but i've always thought of it as a boys name (rudi is a girl!) and it was a bit confusing for the dogs having similar names. we decided on rudi after the cartoon 'rude dog and the dweebs' (she's a bull terrier and looks like rude dog!)

callie is our new pup and it took me just as long to find a name for her as it did my children! me and my hubby actually got the baby name books out one night! she was going to be an amber until i found the name callie. it means lovely and beautiful, which i thought was nice. however all our friends and family think she's named after my husband's favourite takeaway, california fried chicken!!
my hubby always refers to it as 'cali' lol

And sky goes with her coat too cause its sort of like black/gray with white bits so she looks a bit like a stormy sky. And she is called skyler when I'm feeling playful with her haha
