My second dog
My second dog name was hard to choose, while I was thinking about a name I saw a car approaching my house it was Volkswagen, on the back of the car I read " Jetta". The car drove slow to it way but in my mouth I was repeating this word Jetta" Finally I said I got it! Did you?

You said in your previous thread that you do not have a dog and know nothing about them.

You are right I don't have a dog at the time, but i had two dogs about 9 years ago when I used to live in Moldova. a dogs life in Moldova is very different from what I have seen here and this is one of the reasons why I'm interested in learning more about dogs.
A dogs life in Moldova is different because there dogs aren't exactly allowed in the house, they are to be left outside at all times, even in the winter. Also, the owners never really wash their dogs, I guess their only hope of cleanliness is a river or the rain. And finally, the owners never really bought special dog food they just feed them leftovers and other old food found around their home. from what I see, dogs in Moldova are more wild compared to dogs here, which is mostly why I'm studying the lifestyles of dogs.

Oh I see. I think you will learn far more by having hands on experience of dog care than by reading forums. If you can not keep a dog where you are why not help out at a local shelter. Most places are in need of help - sometimes they need help to do the practical work such as cleaning and feeding but often they need help to exercise and play with the dogs.

I have two dogs, both malteses. "Kona" is the first. He is named after Kona, Hawaii- a place I absolutely love! My second puppy got his name when my husband and I couldn't decide whether we should name him "Shilo" or "Miles," so we compromised and settled on "Milo."

Wrigley - Chicago Cubs fan - he looked like a little cub so we named him after Wrigley Field
Kuma- Chicago Bears fan - she looked like a bear- Akitas originated from Japan - Kuma = bear in Japanese
wonder if my next dog will look like a Bull or Blackhawk?

A rolled up newspaper can be an effective training tool when used properly. For instance, use the rolled-up newspaper if your dog chews up something inappropriate or has a housebreaking accident. Bring the dog over to the destroyed object (or mess), then take the rolled-up newspaper and hit yourself over the head as you repeat the phrase,"I FORGOT TO WATCH MY DOG, I FORGOT TO WATCH MY DOG!"

Toffee is/was toffee coloured.
Ojo was named after a little creature in a tv show my children liked. She was an orange coloured bear and Ojo is a black dog but hey!
Manny was named after the mammoth in the Ice Age movies and also a character played by one of our favourite comedians in a sit com.

My son who is in the military was in Iraq at the time we lost his childhood dog to cancer. ( that was one long year in my life ) My sons Cav unit was nicknamed the Hunters. And of course Min Pins are great little hunters.

my can corso's name
My Cane Corso's is Nala, I thought this is a great name for her as she reminds me of a little female lion from the lion king.

When we adopted our big girl 6 years ago, I wanted to call her Rose. My hubby said people would have an "issue" with a big black dog named "Rose" (we had no idea how big she'd get). I heard that Cher song on the way home and Gypsy Rose it was. Those she's more often called "big girl" now.
Brought the "puppy" home last year and when to walk the girls together for a bit of bonding. She couldn't go more than one house length without spinning in a circle as she walked. Tazzy (for the Tasmanian devil) was born!

My dog's name is Obi it means "Heart". In African(Not sure) culture, it means blackmagic.
I've always wanted to get a giant Dog and call him Tank/Abrams. English Mastiff perhaps?
