That is horrible and uncalled for!!! It is mentioned to place them high enough so dogs can't reach them. That is stupid too---dogs do jump and they do find ways to get at a piece of meat or whatever is in the trap. And what about little kids!!!! I am surprised that a little kid hasn't been killed by these traps yet and I'm sure they could reach a raised trap too. I think they should be done away with altogether. At the very least they should be what they are called--a trap not a death machine!!! Cripes!! In the video they look like a place a kid would use for a hide away for a game or a play fort especially when they are camouflaged enough to hide what it really is--OMG!
What the he*l is wrong with people!!!

This is so wrong. I feel so sorry for those dog owners who had to see this happen to their dog, and couldnt save them. I dont even think its right to trap and kill any animal like that. What is wrong with people.
If I was one of those owners after be in shock Id be hoping mad seeing red, and I would not rest till those traps were outlawed in my state.
I dont think they are used in Washington, but I will be checking into this.
Thanks for the info on this.

I just put body grip traps Wi law in my browser and only came up with this: Consider all set placement to avoid contact with humans and domestic animals. When using body-grip traps on dry land the use of enclosures and elevated sets is strongly encouraged. The ability to continue to use body-grip traps in the future depends on responsible use now!

This is still not good enough!!! Too lax and I still say a dog or child that wants to get to it still can. Stupid anyhow--If the animal to be caught/killed can reach it--SO CAN A DOG OR CHILD IF THEY WANT TO BAD ENOUGH!!!

Heaven forbid!!! But if a child gets killed over these horrible traps--These traps should be forbidden to even use at all. Now our pets will not change the law even though they are like our children to so many of us. Dogs always seem to get taken advantage of no matter what the issue. Makes me think of what the slaves must of felt like and had to endure!
