In my family, we have had Zoe, Scout (named for the main character in "to Kill a Mockingbird") Mouse (a little mostly white dachshund that looks like one, sounds like one, and hunts and kills them LOL), Annabelle, and Patches (was a black and white dog).
Others that I've named: Stevie, Sweet Pea, Missy, Calley, Ella, Buffy, Josie and numerous other foster dog names that I've forgotten.

Judy - my dad had a dog called Judy when he was child and that was the name of our first dog as a family and our retriever. But if I have a bitch again I like Judy, Jenny or Mary. Obviously it would depend on the dog and her character but I love human names for dogs.

If I ever own a female great pyrenees, I will name it Tammy Fay after Tammy Fay Baker.

I like that Luna! I want to have a dog called Mary! Also, my first choice for a boy's name was Graham!

I am the ultimate gaming geek. I find nothing wrong with naming pets Zelda or Elune. Great names.

I love the name Scout - great for a tomboy girl dog, that likes to get rough, and dirty with the boys.
I'm hoping to get a new female Golden (or newfie haven't made up my mind yet) We just lost our previous girl last July from Cancer her name was Molly, so the time hasn't been right yet, but I've been brainstorming girl names and I've found a couple I really like,
My favourite is "Toula", it's actually the main girl character from 'my big fat greek wedding" and I've always loved that name.
I also really like Elsa! its a cute name. I've always been a fan of cute, short names, like Molly, Ruby, Roxy etc etc. There's so many!

Elsa - the lioness in Born Free. Perfect name for a Golden.

I'm a bit biased. I prefer the big dogs, so I would go with the Newf. One of my friends that helped me get SAmmie her wheelchair has a handicapped great pyrenees and a newf. They are gorgeous. If I wasn't giving all of my money to the vet, I would have a newf too.

I always liked the name Roxy for a female Rottie but when the time came to having our first dog we let our eldest son choose the name as I thought Roxy was a bit too common. I know lots of Roxy's. My son wanted to name her Holly after his best friend at school, so Holly it is!

I want a boy dog, but if I had a female dog, I think I'd call her Mila.

A friend of mine adopted a pitbull named Roxy. He thought Roxy sounded too much like a stripper name so he changed it to Rapunzel. Cute!
