Default Hi-Tor Neo Diet for Dogs (12/14-oz cans)

The Hi-Tor Neo Diet is specifically formulated for dogs requiring a low protein, restricted phosphorus diet to assist in management of renal disease. While this food is lower in protein and phosphorus, it has met the AAFCO Feeding Test requirements for adult maintenance.
Customer Review: Hi-Tor Special Diets for dogs
I have used Hi-Tor products for over a decade for both my dogs & cats, but they are almost impossible to find in local pet food stores. People tend to buy the special diet products from pet food stores without going to their veterinarian FIRST to obtain a proper diagnosis regarding what is exactly wrong with their pet. So retail stores are reluctant to sell these great foods because they do not want to cause harm to an animal that has a serious health condition that has not been tested & treated by a vet first. However, regarding the Neo Diet for dogs...if your vet has told you your dog has kidney disease & requires a special diet these foods are less expensive than most of the brands you can only get from your vet. My dog likes the taste, Hi-Tor is easy to buy because I dont have to make a trip to the vet to get it & Hi-Tor does not require a prescription. I like having the canned food on hand if my dog needs a snack in a hurry & cannot wait for me to soften the dry Hi-Tor Neo with water. Tell your vet you are planning to give your dog Hi-Tor so you have his/her approval & keep tabs on your pet with appropriate blood tests, etc to monitor their progress on the food. I have never had a problem getting permission from my vet to use Hi-Tor products. My vet was familiar with the product line & agreed it was safe for my dog. My dogs & cats who have had kidney disease have lived a long time eating Hi-Tor foods & following our vets instructions.
