I have had one of these things for years. I bought this one because my old one went missing. it came out of the box, worked once, and died. My old one is a great deterrent to nuisance barking, both by my dogs and others in the neighborhood, and also works on cats to get them down from high places, like the curtains. just make sure if you buy one you keep your receipt. it may be defective.
