Default The Green Room Serenade Part One

15 song cd by The Lost Dogs, led by Christian music pioneer (Swirling Eddies, Daniel Amos) Terry Taylor.
Customer Review: Part one is only the beginning
This is an eclectic album from the start: with Green Room Serenade, we are invited into the band's legendary recording studio to wake up to the true message behind the music. The album/cassette/CD progresses through a series of stories about life, love and loathing-but the tracks that shine most are those of Terry S. Taylor and Derri Daugherty. Up in the Morning (written by Taylor, sung by the Dogs) is a sweet opus to the men and women who "do their jobs" on a day-to-day basis, always knowing that what they are doing is best for their families. The moral: no matter how tired these eyes get, I know what I'm doing is making a difference. Skip to "All that Remains." Perhaps one of the more beautiful love songs out there. It is not a song, but a feeling: No matter what happens, good or bad, I am the fortunate one for finding love in you-and I will keep working to be better so that you, the one I love, is cared for and are paramount in my life. This feeling comes back strong in "The Prodigal Bride"-One of my favorite tunes by Taylor. It is a song that goes beyond love to true commitment. "Everyday I'm still amazed at your beauty and imperfections" is the opening line. And anyone's that's been married-or in love-knows that the commitment to another encompasses both. And each day brings new discoveries and new appreciations. "Reasonable Service" is perhaps the most powerful Christian song I've ever heard. It's a dialogue between the sinner/human/lost and the Almighty. The basic message is that we are forever striving for the perfect image reflected in God. It is both a cry for help and an affirmation that we can be better. When I first heard of T. S. Taylor/DA/Lost Dogs, I was dubious to say the least. But when I heard the first song, I was hooked. This is GOOD STUFF!. Check it out. It ain't a bunch of hymns or prudes singing. It's great rock/country/alternative-but with a deep message. Solve it for yourself.
