This Home Pride brand hot dog griller is bad: it cooks unevenly and is hard to clean. It's very easy to burn yourself badly on the bun "warmers."
Customer Review: Great item, totally worth getting
Well I got the hot dog roller, picturing a "micro-gas station" in my room. What i got was just that. The rollers work fine, the dogs arent rolling in a jerky way or anything. the smooth fluid motion is perfect. The heating takes a couple minutes. It says 8-10 for a refrigerated (not frozen) dog. I got what i wanted at about 10-12. A frozen might hit 15 minutes or so. The bun warmers work well enough. I think some kind of thin metal bar in between both warmers would be great as it would keep the bun from sliding away a little. Regardless, the warmers get very hot and even without touching them, my buns were done right. However there are less warmers than rollers which makes for a sucky ratio. There is a turn timer that works up to 30 minutes. my only gripe on this was that you have to nudge it a bit to make it stop ticking. it will ding, but then tick because its like 1 mm stuck. A quick turn down will stop that ticking. Annoying, but fine since im going to have to go back to the device anyway. Also it came in white, not the grey color that matches the mini-fridge it will be stationed at. Not picky myself, but the pic should = what i get. I knocked a star off for the timer issue. 4 stars, the taste is great, the function is fine, and i have no real reason to RMA or cry. Im loving it!
